MDP TEAM is equipped with 15 injection molding machines ranging from 25 to 1,000 tons.<\/p>\n

This 100% electric<\/a> JSW 1,000-ton press offers us extraordinary capacities:<\/p>\n

In plastic injection molding, the larger the part size, the greater the clamping force required. In fact, there are several explanations for this phenomenon, here are the main ones:<\/p>\n

Uniform material distribution:<\/h4>\n

During injection molding, molten material is injected into the mold to form the part. Larger parts therefore require more material. A higher clamping force is required to exert sufficient pressure on the mold. It is this high pressure that ensures uniform material distribution throughout the mold. This prevents defects such as air voids, seam marks or inclusions. Uniform material distribution is therefore essential for good-quality parts.<\/p>\n

Deformation control :<\/h4>\n

Larger parts undergo greater deformation during the injection process due to the amount of material and heat involved. A higher clamping force is required to hold the mold firmly in place and minimize part deformation during injection and cooling. This ensures more precise dimensions and better dimensional stability of the final part.<\/p>\n

Mechanical strength:<\/h4>\n

Larger parts often have higher mechanical strength requirements. Higher clamping force creates a part with higher material density and better structural integrity. This enhances the part’s strength and improves its mechanical properties, such as tensile strength, impact resistance and rigidity.<\/p>\n

Reduced risk of defects:<\/h4>\n

Larger parts are also more easily subject to problems such as warping, buckling or internal stresses. Here too, a higher clamping force helps to minimize these risks.<\/p>\n

Thanks to its high clamping force, this press can therefore inject parts weighing up to 6kg. Here’s an example of a part produced at MDP TEAM:<\/p>\n
